Virus woes continue for AFL

The whole concept of the Hub, indeed the whole concept of the flexibility of the AFL in dealing with Corona, has been a huge headache, but a marvellous insight into how flexible and creative all clubs, media and the AFL itself can be.

In real terms there is no place for 18 teams of AFL FOOTBALL, ANYMORE THAN THERE IS A PLACE FOR 16 NRL TEAMS. But both organisations are trying to foster the employment of fine young men and women around Australia to create another major sporting industry.

It is acknowledged by our Federal and State Governments that that is the case, and because of that financial and infrastructure support for Sport, Australia is a world leader in swimming, diving, Golf, Tennis, Squash, Cricket, Hockey, Softball/ Baseball, Basketball, rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer, AFL, and provides the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB with many fine athletes.
