Lemsy is sporting champ of the city

AS the QT changes to digital format, I would like to personally say a sincere thank you to David Lems for the printed coverage he has given to sport in Ipswich.

As Chair of Sport in Ipswich Council between 2004 and 2018, I can testify to the knowledge and passion David has to promote all codes of sport in Ipswich.

Whether it was doing a story on an Ipswich sport’s person who had reached the summit of their sport or a junior starting out, David’s knowledge of the person and their sport was evident in what was written.

David’s knowledge was always appreciated when he helped judge the popular annual Ipswich Sports Awards.

Thank you David for the many articles you have written and printed. I doubt whether any other newspaper had someone with your knowledge and passion.
